Shadowbox puts the boards on alternating sides of the rails, so the fence looks finished from both sides and air still moves through it. On this Irmo job the top line is scalloped, dipping between the posts in a soft curve, with an arched walk gate set into the line and a wide double gate with a steel frame and an arched top.
The house is new, so the fence went in on bare ground along a long back line. The owner's Google review says the material specifications matched both the look they wanted and local regulations, and that the work finished ahead of schedule. Permits stay the homeowner's job, and the contract says so, but we are used to building around an approval and we plan the schedule with you. Every wood gate we build gets a steel tube frame, so wide gates hang square. Wood fences come with a one year workmanship warranty and a tune up visit in the first year.
